Born Sayyed Zayyaan ‘Ateyya, he started his career in cinema and theatre at the end of the 1960s and was mainly active during the 1980s. He boomed on stage in My Fair Lady. Sayyed was a comedian all through his works. He had his own very special tone of voice, hand movements and style. On TV he played an important role in All White. On the silver screen, although he was always given secondary roles, yet one cannot forget his roles in Where Is My Mind, I Want a Solution, and The Beggar. On stage, Zayyaan took the leading roles in the 1980s and 1990s in The Parachute, and The Green Soldier, and others. With the start of the new millennium, a brain stroke kept Sayyed Zayyaan away from the light for the last decade.
