An Egyptian actress, who graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1975. She participated at the beginning of her career in several films, including Downtown Apartment (1975). She also worked on series, including Quail and Autumn (1978). She appeared in director Youssef Chahine's film An Egyptian Story (1982). She excelled on stage, as she starred in the play The Savage (1985) with actor Mohamed Sobhi, with whom she also worked on the series Wanis's Dialy Life. She underwent liposuction, but as a result of an overdose of anesthesia, she fell into a coma for a year and then died on January 5, 2007, leaving behind a legacy of 106 works of art.
