A capable Iraqi artist, born in the city of Samawah in Iraq in 1928. He worked as an experienced professor in theatrical sciences at the College of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad. He holds a LLB and a diploma from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Among his most famous theatrical directorial works: The Zanj Revolution, The Gilgamesh Epic and Bernarda's House. He passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at the age of 91, after a long struggle with kidney failure.
