An Egyptian director and film editor, born February 20, 1917. He did not complete his education and began his career as an assistant editor in small production companies, after which he was appointed in Studio Misr as an editor and assistant director. His notable films that he edited include A Bullet to the Heart (1944), The Fugitive (1948) and Blood in the Desert (1950). He also directed two films: It's Only One Life (1954) and Women's Kingdom (1995). He directed television films, and has many documentaries about industries, which he directed for oil companies. He was married to editor Huda El Mahdiyya. He died on September 11, 1968.
