An Egyptian actor, born in Al Matariyyah, Cairo, on January 8, 1916. Mounir was passionate about watching artists while performing their roles in the touring theaters of Egypt, which made him gain experience in acting. Director Mohamed Karim later cast him in the movie Love Is Forbidden (1942), followed by Honeymoon (1945), after which he appeared with Ismail Yassine in about 22 films and with Farid Shawqy in about 10 films. His credits include The Secret of Vanishing Cap, Love Street, and The Boss. He died on February 9, 1965 in Cairo.
