A British director, author and producer, born March 16, 1920 in Berlin. He studied at St Catherine's College in Cambridge. He began his writing career in 1950 with The Compelled People. Among his works are: Roadhouse Girl in 1953, Strange Affection in 1957 and Cairo. He died on October 19, 2005 in Grasse, France.
