An Egyptian director and producer, born on August 21, 1929. He obtained a diploma in commerce in 1950. He began his career as an assistant director with a number of directors since 1951, including Ahmed Kamel Morsi, Ezzedine El Foqar, and Mahmoud Zulficar. He traveled to Syria in 1970 and directed a number of films there, including Bridge of the Wicked, A woman who Lives Alone (1971), and Young People in Distress. He worked as a producer for a number of films. He died on April 16, 2007 after a struggle with an illness.
