Moroccan musician and actor born on 7 February 1948 in a town next to Casablanca. He did not continue his education but he was very socially and artistically active in youth centers and local theater. His interests varied between music, film, theater, and writing, and one of his biggest accomplishments is founding the popular local band Nas Al Ghiwan band whose works spoke to the struggles of the Moroccan working class. He also showed talents in acting and screenwriting.
