An Egyptian film actor and composer. In 1948, he joined the Higher Institute of Theatrical Music, where he graduated in 1950. He worked as the Director of the Hobbies Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs, then was promoted to the Director of Financial and Administrative Inspection at the Ministry of Labor, and when he could no longer stand the government job, he resigned. His relationship with art began through music, as he composed the songs "Under the Tree, Wahiba", and "The One who Cannot Be Beaten", as well as setting music for the series The Victim, The Departure, and The Waterwheel. He turned to cinema at an old age, and acted in many films and television series, such as When the Evening Comes, Customs and Traditions, and Honey and Tears.
