He was born in the city of Rabat in 1931. He began his professional career by joining the National Theater Troupe, which was founded in 1953 alongside Ahmed El-Tayeb Laalaj and Mohamed Afifi, where he played roles from the classics of the world theater of Shakespeare and Moliere. He's known for Barber of Poor Alley, Caftan of Love, Ibrahim Yash and Battle of the Three Kings.
