Lebanese singer and composer, born in 1915. He was the first to sing the famous song "Yaraitny Tair Lateer Hawalaik" in 1935, a song which was rerecorded in 1937 by Farid El Atrash. He immigrated to the US in 1948 and settled there after marrying an American woman. He died there in 1977.
