An Egyptian novelist and satirist who was born on February 25, 1922 in Sharkia Governorate. He obtained a BA of Law in 1943 and a Diploma in Journalism in 1945. He died on December 5, 1981 after a struggle with cancer. He is known for The Apple and the Skull, The Tale of a Girl Named Marmar, and The Choice.
