He obtained a BA in Arabic from Cairo University in 1986, and a BA in scriptwriting from the High Cinema Institute in 1993. He attended a number of specialized courses, including...Read more the UNICEF course for preparing and directing family-oriented programs in 1993, and the workshop for preparing directors and producers for the show Sesame World conducted by the American Sesame Street. He received a number of awards, including the first prize at the La Villette Festival in France for the film Islam: An Introspective View in 2000. He wrote and directed a number of documentaries and short films. He also wrote the move The Magic.
