A Syrian director, editor and writer who studied cinema in Greece. His artistic life began in 1976 in a Greek documentary about Lebanon. He made about 65 edited feature films and about 37 edited short films. In directing, he directed five films. The first work he directed in Syria was The Swarm of Heroes (1973), after which he made the movie Lovers, with Madiha Kamel.
