An Egyptian keyboardist of Kurdish origins, born in 1942. He began his journey since his childhood by participating in the "Children's Paradise" program. He joined Abdel Halim Hafez's band and remained a member until the death of Abdel Halim in 1977. He also played music in Umm Kulthum's band with the help of Riad El Sonbati when he was not more than sixteen years old, and also with Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Farid al-Atrash. He founded the Toast Show band, and competed with Abdel Wahab and Baligh Hamdi in the use of Western instruments and how to adapt them into melodies. In 1975, he co-starred in the movie My Love Is Very Crazy. He is considered one of the ten fastest musicians in the world, according to the Guinness World Records.
