Egyptian singer and composer born in 1931. He emerged in the 1950s and appeared in musical sketches on TV. He appeared in the films Life and Hope, and Clash of Giants. He also composed many children's song for his brother singer Talaat Atteia. He died of cancer on 16 April 2014.
