Egyptian composer, musician, and actor born on 12 November 1906. He began his career in the 1930s. He composed songs for the likes of Shadia in the film A Woman's Youth, and also many of Farid El Atrash's songs. He also wrote the lyrics in films like Illegal Matters, and Dandash. He appeared as an actor in the film Street Angels. He continued to work till he died on 8 December 1987.
