Egyptian screenwriter and director born on 21 November 1921. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English section in Cairo University. He wrote the screenplay for major Egyptian films like A Woman in the Way, Gossip Town, Beware of Eve, and Woman's Enemy. He also worked as an AD on many films, mostly with Youssef Chahine. He was married to actress Ehsan El Qalaawy. He died on 25 June 1985.
