A Syrian director and writer, directed and wrote the film The Box Of Life (2002) and participated in the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. He collaborated with the director Wiam Simav Bedirxan in the documentary Silvered Water, Syria Self‑Portrait, which participated in the Cannes Film Festival and the Cairo Film Festival in 2014.
