Syrian writer and novelist born in Aleppo in 1926, where he was educated and worked in education in schools there. He wrote articles, plays, film scripts, and also wrote for radio. He was a member of the national acting group and founder and president of the Artistic Acting Club. He has several published plays and one of his works has been adapted into the film Quiet City (1972). He died in 1989.
