One of the most famous actresses in the history of Syrian cinema. She started acting at the age of 16 in Egypt before returning to Syria, where she came to be a film icon. She participated in many films produced by the public and private sectors. In addition to acting, she wrote screenplays, and directed a few movies that she also starred in. Among her films as an actress are: The Cheetah (1972) by Nabil El Maleh, and Dancer on Wounds (1974) by Muhammad Shahin. Among her films as a director: The Karate Girls (1987). She withdrew from the public eye with the withdrawal of the private sector from film production in her country, and reappeared in the famous television program Eghraa Speaks in 2009, which sparked a great deal of controversy when it was shown.
