A Turkish actor who was born on December 30, 1927 in Izmir, Turkey, and is of Armenian descent. He appeared in 225 films between 1952 and 1998. He debuted in Turkish cinema with the film Kahraman denizciler (1953). He mainly played in starring roles and became one of the leading villains in both the films Konit Erkin and Kemal Sonal. After his roles in the fifties and sixties, he starred in The Broken Pots, which entered the 11th Berlin International Film Festival. He died on June 26, 2002 in Istanbul, Turkey as a result of lung cancer.
