Syrian actor, director, and writer born in August 1948 in Hama. He holds a BA in Social and Philosophical Studies. He appeared in many works in television, theater, radio and film. He has been a member of the Actors Syndicate since 1980. He was the founder of the National Theater Troupe in 1987, which was named after him in honor of his multiple contributions to the cultural scene. He was the founder of Hama Theater Festival 1989, and was director of its first eight editions. He worked in numerous theaters such as university, military and the National Theater. He passed away on 13 August 2003.
