Egyptian screenwriter who worked in writing classic films and also wrote books. He adapted the first story he wrote into the film Every Beat of My Heart (1959). He moved to California and published an Arabic newspaper titled "El Masry" that reports Egyptian news and news of Egyptians in diaspora. His works include Antar's Daughter, Sin Path, and My Country, My Love.
