Egyptian composer born in Hadayek El Qubba on 6 December 1937. He graduated from the High Institute of Arab Music and worked as a music teacher upon graduating. He composed many songs for numerous singers like Warda, Nagat, Ali El Haggar, and Medhat Saleh. He also composed many musicals like My Fair Lady, Stories, and Music at the Eastern District. Helmi Bakr received a number of awards and honors, including the Excellence Award from the former Minister of Information, Safwat Al-Sharif.
