• Lebanese musician, actor, and singer of Palestinian origins born Hannah Awad Baradei in Nazareth on 30 June 1919. He joined the Music Institute in Haifa at 16 then travelled to...Read more Cairo and joined Fouad I Institute of Arab Music and received his diploma in 1939. He composed music for films such as Salah El-Din El- Ayoubi (1941) and The Wives Factory (1941) and appeared in the films The Start of the Month (1945) and She's So Pretty (1950). He worked in the Lebanese Radio between 1950 and 1979. He is the one who discovered Fairouz and introduced her to the Rahbani Brothers. He had 4 children, one of whom came to be renowned singer Majida El Roumi. He died on 1 December 1983.
