A Lebanese film and theater actor, born in Beirut, Lebanon. He appeared in the first Egyptian musical film and was the first head of the Actors' Syndicate in Egypt. He obtained a telegraph diploma in Lebanon before moving to Egypt, where he joined the Arab and French acting associations in Alexandria. He then decided to travel to France to study acting at the expense of the state, after which he returned to Egypt and founded a French troupe bearing his name. His works include I'm the East, A Storm in a House, and The Song of the Heart. He died on 21 May 1959.
