Abbas Rahmy was an Egyptian actor. Before working as an actor, he was the manager of the royal stables, which enabled him to meet a lot of important figures in the film industry, among whom was director Hassan Helmy, who cast him in his film “Elkhamsa Gneih” (The Five Pounds) in 1946 alongside Mohsen Sarhan, and in “Malak Elrahma” (Angel of Mercy) in the same year alongside Youssef Wahba. He also participated in the documentation for several historical icons in the biopic “Mostafa Kamel” alongside Mahmoud Elmeligy. He appeared in several films with a patriotic theme, including “Ard El Abtal” (The Land of Heroes) (1953), “Watany Hobby” (My Nation, My Love) (1960), “Fi Baytena Ragol” (A Man in Our House) (1961) and “Alhaqiqa Ala'areya” (The Naked Truth) (1963).
