He also wrote many skits and programs for the radio and directed theater performances by Iraqi, Arab, and foreign writers. He also acted in theater, television, and cinema. His works highlight the legacy of his predecessors and are extensions of their heritage as he said. He is known for the play The Palm and the Neighbors (1969). He died at the age of 71.
