Syrian cinematographer born in 1950. He has a master's degree in cinematography and videography from VGIK - Moscow in 1978. He has specialized in special effects cinematography and worked at the National Film Institute in Damascus for 20 years. He has given several workshops in cinematography. His skills include filming underwater, filming mid-air from parachutes and such, as well as animation and claymation. His works include the films The Dream (1980), The Half-Meter Incident (1981), and Dreams of the City (1983).
