An Egyptian actor, born on July 22, 1912, to a middle-class rural family in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate. He obtained the baccalaureate from the Khedive Ismail School in 1938, and worked in the Forensic Medicine Department, and also worked in the Ministry of Education. He co-founded the Military Theater and participated in several plays, including Rasputin, and Mr. Bayomi. He also participated in many television series, the most famous of which is Ghawayesh. The movie The Shame is one of his most prominent movies, in which he played the role of the drug dealer father. He died on June 26, 1996.
