A Moroccan writer and director, born in Tangier in 1948. She studied literature at the University of Paris 8, and also studied film directing at the Higher School of Film Studies in Paris, and has written and directed a large number of films, most notably: The Identity of a Woman, Casablanca, O Casablanca, and Juanita of Tangier.
