Mahmoud Baraka is an Egyptian set decorator, art director and producer who started his career in early 1990s, when designed the decorations of the film “Al-kanz i.e. The treasure (1993)” followed by the decorations of many other films and TV series. He then founded his production company “Baraka Designs”, that produced works like TV series “Ahl Cairo i.e. The people of Cairo” and a number of TV shows and programs such as “Al-beit beitak i.e. Make yourself at home”, “’Ala korsy al-mozee’ i.e. On the presenter chair” and “Baab al-shams i.e. Gate of the sun”. Baraka received several awards, among the prizes are Best Art Director for the film “Deil al-samaka i.e. The fish tail” from the 17th Alexandria Film Festival, Best Art Director from the 24th Oscar for Egyptian Cinema Festival for the film “Mafia” and Best Art Director for the film “Tito” from the 11th National Festival for Egyptian Cinema.
