A Syrian film director, he studied cinema at the Higher Institute of Film Studies in Moscow and graduated from it. He co-wrote with director Nabil Al-Maleh the script of the movie The Remains of Pictures 1979. He also co-wrote with director Muhammad Malas the script of the movie Dreams of the City (1983).
