Ali El Sherif is an Egyptian actor, who was born in 1934 and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in 1965. He began his acting career when director Youssef Chahine cast him in the role of Diab in the film The Land (1970). Afterwards, he played a number of supporting roles in films during the 1970s and 1980s. Among the other films in which he acted are The Sparrow, El Karnak, Shaa’ban Below Zero, and The Advocate. He died in 1987 at the age of 52.
