An Egyptian director and writer, born on February 22, 1960. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Cinema, directing department in 1988. He worked as a director for documentary films from 1980 to 1987 and worked as an assistant director upon his graduation with Sherif Arafa. He started directing in 1995, from his works: The Assassination of Faten Tawfik, Hunter of Doves and Keep Calm and Listen.
