He is one of the most famous child actors in Egyptian cinema, where he made his debut at the age of seven in the movie Usta Hassan, and his works continued after that, including Hamido, Platform No. Five, and Land of Peace. He retired in 1967 because he didn't find the appropriate roles as an adult. He later settled in Alexandria and passed away in 1996.
