German playwright and journalist, born on August 17, 1880 in Poland. He studied law, history, literature and art history in Munich and Leipzig, where he obtained his PhD. in 1904. He worked in Berlin and became co-owner and editor in "Welt und Wissen" in 1909. He wrote many articles on literature, art, theater and cultural history. In 1916, he became the department head of the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Supreme Army Command in Berlin. In 1921, he started working for the cultural magazine "Faust". From 1923 to 1925, he started working as a publisher and editor. One of his plays was adapted into the Arabic film Prosecution Demands Innocence (1990). He died on March 14, 1951.
