Syrian actress who emerged in the 1960s. She began her career appearing in TV ads until she was discovered by director Nabil El Maleh in 1970 who gave her the role of a poor pregnant peasant in Men Under the Sun. She left acting for a while in the mid-1990s to be with her family but made her comeback on the series Angel Tears. Her films include Love Trip (1972), Naji El Ali (1992), and Mother Project (2002). She died in June 2010 after a struggle with illness.
