A Jewish Iraqi actress and singer who was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1905. She participated in the movie Alya And Essam (1948), which was the first Iraqi cinematic film. It was directed by the French Andre Schoutan. She lived in Iraq for a long period despite the Iraqi government's revocation of citizenship for all Jews, and she continued to sing until the last years of her life. Accompanied by her husband, the singer Nazem Al Ghazali, she established a nightclub to perform many of her old songs. However, her husband was killed under mysterious circumstances, and she was accused of killing him. She passed away in Baghdad in 1974.
