An Iraqi actress, born in Baghdad. She became famous in the eighties and the beginning of the nineties. She is from an artistic family. Her father is the Iraqi program writer, who spent more than half a century in the performing and radio arts and resides in America. She had presence in the most important television dramas during the eighties and mid-nineties. On stage, she presented the play Contemporary Love Story in the early nineties. Her role in it is considered one of her most important theatrical roles, and through it she won various prizes in many international festivals. She stepped away from the screen in the mid-nineties, and then left Iraq for Jordan at the end of the same decade. She married the artist Ahmed Ibrahim Jalal, the son of the artist Ibrahim Jalal. She obtained a master’s degree, while her husband obtained a doctorate, and they lived together in Jordan and worked in Jordanian artworks, until they separated.
