He graduated in 1996 from the Academy of Arts, the Higher Institute of Cinema. He began his artistic career working as an assistant director with director Tareq El Eryan in video clips and TV ads, after which he worked at Nile Entertainment with Salma El Shamaa in 2006 to direct TV programs and live shows. He wrote and directed his first feature film 45 Days in 2006 starring Ahmed El Fishawy, followed by The Wedding Party (2009).
