He was born in Cairo in 1935, and graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1963. He worked with the theatrical television troupe on May 9, 1962, and worked as an actor and assistant director. He directed his first work in 1971. He is famous for acting in the series Raafat Al-Hagan S1 (1988), and the movies The Dawn of Islam (1971), Alexandria... Why? (1979), and The Egg and the Stone (1990).
