Biography

An Egyptian poet, who was born in July 1923 in Boulaq, Cairo. He attended the School of Law, but dropped out. He worked as a railway employee, and played for Al Ahly SC as a goalkeeper. He wrote songs for radio and cinema, as in: Moon 14, and Blood on the Nile. Abdel Halim Hafez...Read more sang songs which he composed, such as "O Lovers", and "In the Silence of the Night." In addition to Karem Mahmoud who also sang "On the Heartbeat" and Nagat who sang "On the Nest of the Wounded Passion. He passed away in 2003.
