An Egyptian director, born in 1936. He obtained a BA in English at Cairo University in 1961. He worked on television, then obtained a postgraduate diploma at the High Cinema Institute, Directing Department, and worked as an assistant director with many directors. Among his films are Viva Zalata, and God Gives Respite but Never Neglects.
