An Egyptian author, born on June 15, 1934 in Qus, Qena Governorate. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University. His literary inclinations began to appear at a young age, and during his university studies he wrote poetry and short stories. At the beginning of his career, he worked as an assistant to screenwriter Abdel Hay Adib, until he made his debut writing the script of the movie Men Don't Marry Beautiful Women (1965). This was followed by many scripts for several films, the most important of which are: The Grandson (1974), and Love Is Not Enough (1980). His last work was the movie Somebody Help Me (1991). He won several awards, including: the First Prize of the Ministry of Culture for the movie The Grandson, as well as He received many awards from the Egyptian Catholic Center For Cinema.
