During his sophomore year at Cairo University, Mohamed Attia applied for the Star Academy 1 program. He passed the first stage and traveled to Lebanon upon getting accepted in the program. After 4 months, he graduated as a rising artist and gained fame as the first student to win first place. Thereafter, he signed a contract with the Star System company, releasing his first album, I Am the Lover. He returned to Egypt and made his film debut in Private Lesson, whereupon he released a second film, Let's Get Singing!.
