An Egyptian director, born in Cairo in 1946. He began his career by working as an assistant director in the series Children in the Storm (1978), then worked on the series The Hotel (1980). He made his directorial debut in the series Living Once Again (1984), after which his work continued, most notably in The Devil Rejoices, and A Girl from Our Time. He died on May 30, 2015 of a heart attack.
