He was born in Cairo, on February 13, 1977. He graduated from the High Cinema Institute in Cairo in 1998. He has worked as an advertising designer, editor and film director. He won the Egyptian Oscar for editing for the movie Cabaret (2008), as well as the award of the Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema Festival for editing for the movie An Hour and a Half (2013), for which he also won the editing award at the Film Association Festival.
