Biography
A Syrian poet, born in 1947 in Damascus. She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts of Damascus in 1967, and obtained a diploma in business administration from the University of Munich in 1979. She married poet Yusuf al-Khal in 1970, and they had two children: Ward El Khal and...Read more Youssef El Khal. She worked in journalism as a writer and illustrator for Fairuz magazine, and she also worked as an editor and presenter for television and radio programs in Damascus. She wrote many children's songs and religious songs, in addition to the series The Broken Bird (2008) and Love Point (2010).
